You may have heard or seen alerts on the radio or TV saying that the air quality is yellow or orange and wondered what it meant. The alerts are based on an EPA tool called the Air Quality Index (AQI) that informs the public about the air quality on any given day. You can find daily updates on local AQI information from  www.AirNow.gov or www.enviroflash.info.
